Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a method of identifying an individual or pet by biological markers other than facial recognition.

Background:
There is a huge push back around the world around facial recognition. Generally, only a few measurements are taken of one’s face, but the perception is that “they” have your picture and will keep it or share it with another entity. Some people are uneasy with facial recognition.

Description:
Solution: See Illustration: Non facial or permanent bio markers i.e. (Iris or Fingerprint), may be more accepted as a form of recognition especially if these markers are more “fluid” and adjustable by the shopper i.e., Non Facial or Fingerprint or Iris. A series of IR LEDs in a grid pattern could “see, measure” many factors. Height of person, distance between joints, see a person’s gate / walk. Identify animal or kid. Prior art could be our IR “goal post” on a belted
lane that measures height and length of items going down the belt.
