Abstract:
This disclosure proposes a notification system that provides information to customers when they are walking into an area of a store that contains an allergen that conflicts with their allergy list. The user’s position would be tracked using a camera system.
Background:
The problem solved is the issue of customers going into areas where they could be at risk of having an allergic reaction to something potentially life threatening.
Description:
A notification system that provides quick responses to allergen conflicts for a customer within the store. The tracking of the customer’s location through the store will be performed by the camera system throughout the store. The camera system can be a composite of cameras or a single camera as long as the camera system covers the store comprehensively enough to allow detection of the customer’s location and direction of travel. The detection of the allergens will be based on a mapping of known allergen locations that will need to be maintained by the store. The notification system will use real-time tracking to provide immediate notifications to the customer when they are moving into an area that is known by the system to contain an allergen that is found within the customer’s allergen list. The allergen list will be provided by the customer.
Usages:
1) Detect allergens proximity in real time
2) Prevent customer allergic reactions
Enabling Technology:
1) Complete store camera system
2) Database of customer allergens
3) A mapping of the store
