Abstract:
This Disclosure proposes a device that can dynamic adjust the cover lens humidity to improve the user experience.
Background:
A different environment humidity will bring a different finger touch moving experience so, it's common that if you swipe your finger on the touch screen, you will feel a different smoothness according to the environmental humidity.
Description:
The environment humidity could be detected by the touch sensor algorithm such as the capacitance will vary from low to high with the humidity. The touch screen device we claim here can adjust the humidity by adding a few electrical and mechanical components.
For example: we can add some resistance traces on the bottom side of the cover lens for heating the surface to reduce the humidity. Secondly, if we detect a lower humidify then the design point, there will be a sprayer on top of the screen to increase the humidity over the surface. It may not be on top of the screen and it could be anywhere around the POS touch screen and could still help the environment humidity.
